Strange question…

But is there anybody near the Leeds area that will let me come and wiggle their VRS engine?

I want to see if a particular movement is normal.

The lower miles the car, the better of course.

You can wiggle mine if you really want - M1 J38 between Wakey and Barnsley if that's any good?

PS it's basicaly the top engine mount I'm wiggling. The car has a new 'dog bone' mount at the bottom but the top you can wiggle a bit with 1 finger and I'm sure its not normal!

I've got 2 so you can wiggle either

56 plate on 52k or an 04 on 186k

If I can have a wiggle on your 56 plate that would be nice

Balls to it....

It was 'only' £120 for a new mount, I thought it was a lot more so have just ordered one.

I may however need a future wiggle if that doesnt fix it.

Other than the bottle getting in the way it LOOKS quite simple.

Which is surely broken given I can get that much moveent with 1 finger pushing the engine.

This was from the dealer - so I probably had my pants pulled down a bit. At least its right though and I wont have to mess about.

DId you have to remove the coolant bottle, or just move it our the way?

Now yours is new is the engine rock solid?

Ye removed the coolant bottle by the two bolts at the back and then 17mm socket for engine bracket and 13mm for engine mount.

Ye hardly any movement.

For reference though ee motor spares in yeadon are cheap on some spares. A-z halifax dewsbury or hudds are good. Or gsf in Rochdale. All are good just depends on part for whos cheapest.
