GSM Telephone Prep Query?

Featured Replies

Dealer has located a Monte Carlo fitted with Sat Nav as requested, but suggests that as it has GSM telephone prep fitted I should pay £300+

Why should I pay when our phones have never been VAG compatable, I/we will probably never use it. (4TH Skoda)

Advice....comments?

What phones? Any phone with bluetooth is compatible with the GSM prep on new builds since mid 2010.

Is it prepped for a hard-wired handset rather than Bluetooth? If you can argue the case that you really don't want it then ask for a discounted cost. My MK1 vRS had both cruise control and a cd changer installed at the factory but as I "didn't want them" the Dealer discounted them to keep the sale.

It will be bluetooth. Don't think anyone does hardwired anymore.

I would not pay if I didnt want it. (I did want it and its very good on wireless bluetooth)
