Featured Replies

It's a 2005 fabia vrs

How do I know if I have an ASZ or BLT??

Thanks!!

Your logbook will tell you :)

There will also be a plaque on the car somewhere stating it but dont know where they are in the fabias!

Oh ok, so it's not a production year thing then?

look at the sticker under the boot floor, the engine code will be pretty obvious. Another copy of the sticker should be stuck inside the service booklet.

Earlier ones tend to be ASZ, not sure when the change was though?

Ok I'll have a look :)

Presumably it's possible to tell from the shape of the EGR connector pipe? I think one type is like a star shape and the other is just normal

Your engine code is on the sticker on the cover of the cam belt

Just checked log book

ASZ!!

Date of registration: 29/07/2005

Don't know if that's of any use to anyone :)

Think blt started in 2006 didnt it. ??

That said im sure ive seen 55 plates with them in so maybe a change over year in 2005 and the later ones came with them perhaps.

Yeah I'm sure it was 05/06 they changed to BLT.

It always used to be the case that the EML could be mapped out on the ASZ engine codes but was harder with the BLT's, not sure if that's still the case?

I have heard that but can't confirm it. Sure someone will let us know though.
