Lowering my vRS - Advice Please.

Featured Replies

Hey guys I'm looking to lower my vRS but I just want some feedback first.

I've searched for topics and all over google but haven't found anything I'm looking for...

I've owned a seat toledo before this that I had running coilovers, gave a great stance but they were too harsh and eventually turned the car into a rattlebox :(

I love how well put together the vRS is, however I do want to bring it closer to the ground without causing rattles!

Does anybody have pictures of their vRS lowered on 30mm springs? I'm thinking with the 30's and with the standard drop the car will be almost 50mm lower than normal, right? That might be loads but I just wanna see what one looks like first before I make my mind up..

20mm springs won't give much of a difference I imagine.. But all advice welcome!

No it doesnt work like that

30mm springs will lower a non vrs 30mm

30mm springs on a vrs will lower 15mm as it is already 15mm lower than a standard octavia

As Big Jase says. Also about 20 mm lower than standard VRS is a good ride height. You need enough height for the suspension to work correctly. I wouldn't just fit lowered springs on standard shocks. It will look ok and that's about it. Ride quality will be rubbish. Either lowered springs with good quality matched shocks or quality coilovers. I'm running KW V3's they are phenomenal and so they should be at around £1300. But hey buy cheap buy twice !

I had the witec shock and spring -30mm kit on my old vrs and it lowerd it 15-20mm and was very comfortable it was just like oem ride just slightly lower, in the end i wished i had gone for the witec coilovers as the car didnt look like it was lowerd but if you want oem look this kit is very good. I now have witec coilovers on my vrs estate very good kits from witec i think there prices have just gone up tho .
