Maybe the engine is using so much oil that its sucked the shocks dry. :-)

Any indication or certainty via inspection that it is the Dampers causing the knocking.

(why were they not changed then and there ?, 1 hour job done)

Has it been driven to check and inspected on the ramp,

or is this a trial and error to see if they can find where the knocking is coming from?

IMO the almost new vehicle should have been left at the Dealership until inspected and repaired,

and you drive away with a safe courtesy car,

with no known or unkown suspension or similar issues.

Let the Head sales person or Workshop manager drive about in a less than perfect almost new car with a knocking noise..

Yes, that did happen to one person at least on here. Poor PDI by the garage in that particular case :(

I noticed when I was driving over ramps it started making a horrible squelching noise, went to the garage and an engineer came out and drove it and said it needed new shocks, it only happens on ramps so it goes in on Tuesday to get sorted :-)
