New VRS orderd

Featured Replies

Just pulled the pin and ordered a new VRS hatch.Had another test drive of the same car today.Does anyone know what the build date of the new CTHE engine is? The demo was on a 62 plate with a CAVE engine, which had 3600 miles on the clock with no oil on the dipstick :\ Have asked the salesman to check with Tech for my engine code (week 17-19).

Someone will know the official date for engines when the first ones were available,

i know members here had their new vRS in the UK, November-December 2012 with the CTHE engines.

Yes,mine was early November. The engine code is on the front page of the service book.

I would guess that the early 62 plate cars,September, would be the old engines.

Will probably do a 1000 mile run-in oil & filter change.

Honestly i think that you would be wasting money and gaining nothing changing oil and filter at just 1000 miles on a Twincharger.

Maybe 3000-4000 would be a good time or just at the 10,000/12 month service.

It comes now with Variable Servicing and oil for that and it is good oil.

Much as i do oil changes its at 3000 miles on the Twincharger,

they are not necessary, just doing it because i have lots of oil kicking around, and bored...

I take it you have paid extra and taking a 5 year warranty.

Mine was a Early November (CTHE) - used 400ml approx in 1500miles

But whatever the oil consumption is.. I absolutely LOVE it!

We are going to buy the 4th year warranty, seems a no brainer at £130.

How much is the 2 year Skoda extension to the 3 year warranty when buying new,? That would be my choice.

I never knew there was a 4th year extension.
