A/C for heating?

Featured Replies

Air con controls the temperature of the air, Climate control controls the temperature of the cabin.

Last evening, temperature outside was 3C, my car was idling with the computer showing consumption of 0.8l/hr. Switching off the climate control the consumption dropped to 0.6l/hr

Please tell me what all that means.

Many thanks.

If you set AC at 20 degrees, for example, the air temperature will be regulated to come out of the vents at 20 degrees. It will continue to come out at whatever speed you have set the fan.

Climate control (CC), on the other hand, will heat up, or cool don, the cabin to whatever temperature you have set the temperature.

With CC you have a sensor in the cabin which feeds back the temperature of the air in the cabin. The output of the CC will then change to bring the cabin temperature to that required.

Thank you so much for this...but I was really asking about your second sentence I now realise that you were talking in `Metric` which I find difficult to understand and by `computer` you were referring to the Maxidot. Got it now, thanks again.
