Turbo Power!

Featured Replies

Hi All, I've recently purchased a 2.0 Tfsi Vrs Octy, my question is this when I give it some, it accelerates awesomely til 3000 rpm, then boosts and spins, then accelerates awesomely,

It seems to randomly get loads more power which just causes wheel spin n then carry on powering through, I know I shouldn't be complaining about power but the delivery seems to be good then excellent (too much) then good, would a remap sort this?

And before anyone states the obvious lol I have 5+ mm of thread on my wheels - confused

Oh, and that's in gears 1 - 3, at 4th it becomes smoother

What did you have before as i hate the traction control on my mk1 as it wont allow for any spin before it starts cutting power.

Have to learn not to berry your foot to the floor and ease the pedal down as revs build as just planting it gets you nowhere especially in first couple of gears

lol before I had a Vaux Vectra SRI 1.9 150bhp diesel :/..it was quick from 2000 - 3500 rpm so as you can imagine im still getting used to having power around the full rev range lol
