I struggle to image how it would be possible to get an image on glass but I bet it happens in the future :)

Thinking more into this - If we used Glass more we would need to be really careful on sunny days - Could end up burning down houses!

All interesting concepts, by why the need for so many devices. Why not go down the route of something like Google Glass, you wear the display and it projects all those images so you perceive them as just in front of you. You can still use the Xbox Kinect gestures to move things around or just voice control as in Blade Runner etc (pan left, zoom 50...). This saves a fortune on producing all that glass and you are less likely to step on it when getting out of bed, also means you don't need all those huge sheets of glass for people to walk into, you know the health and safety gang will have black and yellow striped tape on some of those large panels. :)

Using Google Glasses are a good idea but for things like privacy glass etc you could not use it for that.

Some of it is already available in either in prototype or uber expensive models.

Touchscreen in a car...fail. There is a reason cars have tactile controls, so you can carry out an action without looking away from the screen. A touchscreen is only suitable for passengers. I can envisage voice control for the driver but tbh I prefer to twiddle my knob.

The other thing for me personally is that I absolutely hate, with an unbridled passion, fingerprints on screens. I seem to spend my life cleaning chocolate and jam from my phone or laptop and that's just the wife never mind the boy. The laptop isn't even a touch screen.

Give me my switches for most things in the car please. I'll take HUD for some stuff but sod the rest.

Ah, you'd need the anti-tamper shocker and the laser self cleaning kit too then. :)

All who were interested.

Here is another video

I found it to be a terrifying vision of the future. Not for one second did I think "Wow that's cool", all I could think about was the software behind it watching your every move, collecting every bit of data it can, and knowing you better than you know yourself.

Privacy will be the one of the currencies of the future, with one of the definitions of wealth being how little the state knows about you.

These people aren't making pretty bunny displays in forests for anything other than cold hard profit.

And yes, I'm no fun at parties.
