Leather door cards. Look weird without leather seats?

Featured Replies

I retrimmed my mk4 golf armrest with some faux leather and am thinking about doing the door cards the same. Would it look weird without leather seats??

This is the armrest

A good effort but it looks "wobbly". IMO needs a little more stretch to stop it sagging/bagging etc.

Pretty much everything he said!

Looks like a good effort so well done.

Constructive criticism would be to see if you can get it pulled nice and tight to leave a good finish.

I'm sat here half an hour after stepping out of my car and after 4 years of ownership and have no idea what the door cards look like.

If i was to hazard a guess I'd say they were black material to match the centre parts of the seats but i can't be sure.

I'd imagine that doing them in faux leather to match your new armrest would tie the two together quite nicely

Cheers guys. For some reason it looks loose in the picture but is fairly tight in the flesh. I probably could have pulled it a bit tighter but that spray on glue gets some hold of thing pretty quickly..

They are black but not material, more like they were flocked but smoother..
