Featured Replies

Ive read through a few forums about these failing. My window has now given up the ghost, wont go up or down so i took the dr apart and found that the lower cable on the reg mech has rusted and fell off-so should i just replace the whole mech as a new unit, does it come with new motor or do i use the existing one?? Also once ive got one are they easy to replace... anyone know where best to buy one or should i pay direct from skoda garage please.. dont know apart no

Your best bet by far is one from a breakers. I bought and fitted a repair kit for one of my windows, and it lasted all of 10 minutes. If you look on here, there are some being broken now. It's not really all that difficult to change. The worst bit is when you forget to re connect the cable to the interior door handle lever thing.
