Fuel Level Sensor

Featured Replies

Hello Folks

Em getting a fault code in "Instruments" stating that "Fuel Level Sensor - Resistance too High". What does that mean ??? My car is running properly and the fuel indicator and other fuel related readings are working absolutely fine..... When ever I clear the fault code it simply goes away and I have also thoroughly scanned car my car but found nothing..... I scan my car after every month and I always find this error but what surprises me is that when ever I clear the code it simply goes away and I have never experienced anything abnormal in my cars fuel indication system ever...... I have been experiencing this thing from past three months......... Any Ideas folks????

Regards

Alam

It's hardly a critical error, as long as you're not runing out of fuel regularly.

Fuel level sensor is part of the lift pump in the tank, it could simply be a dirty or corroded connector giving the resistance too high.

If you lift the rear seat base there is a circular access plate that you can remove to get to the lift pump.

if you do look don't move the section the arm tracks across it's components are "printed" on to a glass like base it will split
