Where to buy a VRS catalytic convertor?

Featured Replies

Exhaust's been rattling for a little while, eventually got it up on the ramps today, and the flexi on the downpipe's shot, so it looks like I need a new cat! :@

Can anyone point me in the right direction for the cheapest one please? Looking to go down the sports cat/full stainless route next year, but funds won't allow that yet unfortunately! Cheers.

Why not just have a new flexi section welded in?

I have a good condition standard one. £40 plus postage

Is it that easy? I just assumed that by the time the exhaust had been taken off to be welded, it would be better just buying a new one, lol?

Sounds good, thought I'd found a new one on Ebay for around £100, but that's just for the 150bhp engine, I assume the 180bhp engine must need a different one? Will PM to discuss. ;)

If you plan on fitting a new cat it will be expensive. I'm sure any new cat now fitted has to be a Type Approved cat, however that may be wrong, it's been a fair few years since I worked in parts haha
