Octavia VRS handling questions.

Featured Replies

Hi All,

Just have a few questions regarding some upgrades I'm looking to make to my mk1 octavia vrs estate.

Firstly I am looking at getting rear anti roll bar and have found an VW golf R32 one on awsome gti for a reasonable price. Has anyone had any experience of these and are they easy to fit?

Secondly I was looking to mount strut braces but can't see any bolt holes on my car? Do these have to be drilled? If so does anyone know what roughly what a garage would charge as I don't think i'd feel confident in doing this?!

Finally I currently have a set of 18 inch Audi wheels, I am looking to replace these for either 16 or 17 inch spiders. If anyone has a set for sale at a reasonable price let me know!!!

Cheers Tom

R32 front bar will fit but the rear one won't as vrs isn't 4wd,

you need the 2wd version, plenty to choose from keep an eye on the bay or for sale section on here if you don't want to pay full price for a new one.

Audi s3 upper brace is just about best fitting brace you can buy and its not really that expensive from audi (55quid if i remember right), but you have to drill your strut tops to fit it which can be a little daughting but not that hard really,

might be worth getting lower one while your at audi aswell but don't forget the bolts and rivetnuts to fit it, (about 35 quid with bolts and rivetnuts)

any reason why you're getting rid of your 18'' wheels at all?
