Just got home towing a smallish 4 birth caravan and on the way my oil temp has been around 100-105 degrees (prosport gauge) and the oil light has been constantly flashing. Oil level is correct. Any ideas people?

I think its overheard me talking to the wife about upgrading to a new model soon.

I would be a little worried if oil lights flashing, what oil you using in it because i tow with mine sometimes but never had that,

What does it normally run at when on a decent run, guessing around 90 same as coolent temp???

What colour was the oil light? If its red then I think it's a pressure warning, will need to drop your sumo and clean the oil pick up pipe.

Cheers guys. Ill strip it this weekend n clean it up. Top of engine is still moist so may have caught it early. Its a red flashing light.

Seems to be getting really common, the problem is the oil pick up pipe strainer getting blocked over time. Mine was running fine at 130k when I changed it while getting my cambelt done, it was nearly blocked
