advice needed quickly- melted vacuum hoses...

Featured Replies

ok, so basically I put the blanking plate on the wrong end of the pipe when deleting my egr.. (the pipe I'm referring to is the one from turbo to underside of egr).. The pipe snapped, so the exhaust gas was exiting from here, and I've just noticed the two vacuum hoses above have completely melted.. So I've got two vacuum hoses which I've blanked off, and the other two have just melted plastic hanging out the end.

Will I do any harm doing a 20min journey with it like this? Or do I need to get them replaced asap before driving??

Thanks

Car will go into limp mode, but will get you home or to the garage, I drove mine with a hose disconnected for an 1 hour and a 1/2 and the only problem was the lack of power caused by limp mode. After the hose was re-connected and the EML put out everything was fine.
