Polish and wax with Guard X

Featured Replies

Quick question, I have Guard X on my car but I have picked up some very slight scratches over the last few weeks that should polish out but I was just wondering if applying polish and wax on top of the Guard X would remove the paint protection?

Thanks in advance,

Fitz

You would. As you apply polish it etches off microns of the surface paint, or in this case gard x. Are you able to reapply it afterwards?

I emailed Guard X and they recommended that I use the neat conserver to try and remove the scratches but failing that they said it was ok to use a polish with no cutting compound in it. Hopefully it will be ok.
