I've read a fiew topics from briskoda and some say it is possible and some say it's not. I connected VCDS and honestly, didn't find anything in that matter.

so my 5000€ question is: it's possible to change CH/LH from xenon (expensive bulbs and ballasts just for courtesy lights) to fog lights in a Skoda Octavia Sport 2007?

I did this on my 2011 vRS for the same reason you mention.

On mine the option was something like "LH/CH lights via front fog lamps" in the long coding helper for central electrics.

I seem to recall the CH/LH via fogs was not an option on the Pre-FL :(
