Oh and sunroof canton lol so almost everything !

Is that an Elegance Chunk? Fair play with the choice of colour, it's one of those Marmite colours. Did you see the colour in the flesh before deciding?

Nice spec mate, enjoy, I'm comin over to the Octy III side in a few weeks, the force is strong with these Skodas, once ur hooked, ur hooked!

Falkster yes it's elegance

Colour yes seen it in the flesh and we chose it as it matches the colour of the dirt on the lane we live on, and i hope that means less washing!

I ordered a 2.0 TDI Elegance last weekend...with additional Canton stereo. I decided to take it out on the solutions package, I may live and learn but we shall see in 3 years.

Mine is steel grey. Garage ran last week, spoke to my wife and we think the delivery date is end of May, though she wasn't sure if this was the build date.

Looking forward to it.

No delivery date as yet, find out more this coming week I expect ,

Feels a bit weird ordering a car without driving it,but I have done it before with Audi and it worked ok

Sounds nice. I'm hoping the new vRS and Scout can be specced the same.

Sarge.

Ordered an Elegance 2.0 TDI myself a couple of weeks ago, (Denim blue, black alcantara / leather, Bi-xenons, rear light LEDs, winter pack, space saver spare wheel, Mitsumi Apple connection, park pilot system). As I've said elsewhere here can't decide whether or not to go for the Columbus sat nav upgrade and the Canton hi-fi. The former does seem very expensive at £800 over and above the standard Amundsen set up, but it is a very desirable "nice to have". Was tempted by the Canton HiFi but the standard system does sound pretty good. Have to finally make my mind up within the next 10 days, delivery estimated for mid May.

We were told June for ours, yes std sounds ok but to me 400 not a lot for sub and tweeters cost more to retro fit ! We didn't do rear led !?! Maybe will regret

Difficult choices! Went for the rear LED's only because they are brighter than the standard bulbs hence a safety thing, ( the dealer's demo had them ) but Canton is a harder go / no go choice at £400 than the Columbus is at £800 , and have not seen / heard either. It's all money of course but don't want to go through 3 1/2 years and 70,000 miles of driving with me thinking "I wish I had specced it" .

I wish I wasn't bothered by this stuff, people who buy cars "just as transport" are very lucky ,I have spent 5 weekends testing cars, looking into pcp deals ,and then spent hours working out if I could do without !

I thought this time , I would tick almost all boxes and sit back enjoy the car!

But I'm lucky to be able to afford the choice

You and me both!!!! Cars are my passion, I've spent far too much on cars in the last few years. My "work" car was supposed to be just that, an appliance to get me from my home in Southampton to my workplace in Portsmouth. I currently have a Toyota Yaris diesel for that purpose, had it nearly three years, and was all set to get the same again. Then Skoda brought out this new Octavia, which I was so impressed with the moment I saw it and got hooked, and believe it or not only £3k more than a new Yaris. I started out thinking I'd get the SE, then I drove the demo Elegance and the rest, as they say is history, but after THREE hours of haggling got the Elegance for only £10 / month more than an SE. As usual put most of the bells and whistles on it..........

But as you say, we are in a fortunate position to be able to do it at all.

We have a Yeti which we love.

Our PCP deal ends in June so we went to the garage on Saturday to look at the new L&K Yeti. I was set on ordering one.

The salesman suggested I test drive the 2,0 Elegance Octavia. Now I had an Octy 2 and it was ok but bland for me.

But after a 40 minute drive on back roads and motorways I was stunned to find myself asking him to order the Octy!

Rossi Red

Manual

Columbus

Winter Pack

Sunroof

Comes out cheaper than the Yeti per month and far more economical. And lots of fun. A n excellent car to drive and so much room (very much like my Superb 1 in that, not quite so Tesco-parking-space hostile thankfully).

Can't wait for delivery.
