Engine light on, seems to be running ok but bad MPG.

Featured Replies

Hello guys,

I am the proud owner of a 2litre octavia, wasnt my first choice of car but I am so glad I got it, amazing car!

However it has got a problem. The engine light is on, the engine seems to be running ok, but I am not returning very good mpg, I suspect an oxygen sensor problem, as I had a similar thing with an astra I had, Im gonna try and get it to a person with a computer tomorrow, but I was wondering if anyone else has had similar or maybe it could be something else?

Cheers

Chris

You really need the code read m8, you could be right but there's loads more that can turn the light on

Sent from my Galaxy S3, not a Crapple!

Yep agreed VCDS/VAGCOM diagnosis needed.
