Fitting new springs and shocks: other bits to replace at same time?

Featured Replies

I've got an H&R Cup kit (20mm lower than standard) to fit to my 2009 FL vRS (95k miles and still fairly tight). Getting it fitted at my local garage, and want to get any extra bits beforehand that may benefit from renewing at the same time to save labour on replacing worn stuff later down the line.

I was thinking:

  • new bumpstops front and rear (do people cut these down or get shorter ones?).
  • new front top mounts and top mount bearings
  • old rear top mount will probably be fine to reuse.

This sound right, anything else I should need?

And where's best (cheapest!) to get them?
