Blackvue DR500GW Recorder. IS this the normal quality?

Featured Replies

Hi,

I've just brought the new Blackvue DR500GW-HD and havnt been too impressed with the recording when moving. Anything over 50 gives really bad results.

Is this normal? Have uploaded a recording.

Thanks

p.s. Sorry for accelerating like a racer but wanted to test it out. (my excuse, did keey below 3k ish revs though)

There was one unit from the group buy that did the same.

I returned it.

Thanks. Im glad its faulty and not normal as its terrible.

Just emailed the company.

The other issue i have with it is that it must eat the battery as the power controller shuts it off after an hour or so. Is this one normal?

Not sure as I only have my blackvue units on when ignition is.

Are you leaving the WiFi on, that won't help?

My DR500GW does the same but looking at yours made me think, it seems to be only when you drive past trees!

Add trees

My 400 doesn't do this, so it doesn't seem quite right. This is me driving through trees. Apart from the usual changes in light filtering and quality lost when uploading to youtube, its OK.
