Retrofitted Bolero and Maxidot.

Featured Replies

Hi all,

Ive just fitted a 2012 Bolero unit into my 2006 Vrs along with an updated gateway. Everything works fine except i have lost the 'Audio' option in the Maxidot.

I've run VCDS and the following fault comes up.

01317 - Control Module in Instrument Cluster (J285)

004 - No Signal/Communication

Freeze Frame:

Fault Status: 01100100

Fault Priority: 6

Fault Frequency: 1

Reset counter: 107

Mileage: 74634 km

Time Indication: 0

Date: 2000.00.00

Time: 16:45:10

I'm assuming this is the reason for the maxidot issues! is there a way to get the display working? Its not a biggie, but i would like the display if its possible as in every other way the Bolero is way ahead of the Stream

coding

the bolero probably voded for bap protocol, that needs to be removed

Can BAP be removed from a 2012 Delphi Bolero? From what I can find on this site it would seem not.

I've checked on VCDS under the long coding for radio and there are only 5 bytes, none of which have A BAP option within?

Has anyone managed to get the communication working between a new Delphi Bolero and Pre FL Maxidot?

the fault is nothing to do with the radio

try entering the code to the radio coding

010004000401

the Bold one is used to disable BAP on other radios, cars with BAP have a zero

I've just tried this Eddie, and it's not worked :( . In that byte in the Radio coding, there are 4 options on active monitoring of various speakers.

Also getting the fault below, even though ive fitted a double Fakra adaptor fitted any ideas whats causing this? The radio works fine in both FM and AM!

00856 - Radio Antenna

011 - Open Circuit
