I had read that cold starting was more difficult if the RFD wasnt mapped out, but that wasnt my experience. It ran perfect with no software alterations

Well, after being on the forum in one form or another for 14 years it's finally time to move on to new things. This is a great forum, with so much knowledge and help available. Honestly the best car forum I've ever been part of. Im still keepingit in the VAG family, as the Octavia gets part ex'd on Friday for a younger distant cousin :-)

My first thought would be an injector/fuel issue. If the misfire moves cylinder, that rules an injector problem out. Maybe worth getting the fuel pressure checked, as could be pump related .

The spoiler's back from the paint shop looking good as new. Also treated myself to a new set of OEM VRS mats as the originals had seen better days.

No additional ducting, I've left the original air box feed in place, and the induction kit turbo Heatshield helps keep radiant heat away from the main intake pipe. I can't say I've noticed an issue with heat soak. But I mostly do A road journeys. In stop start, and urban driving it may be more of a problem

Unfortunately, the spoiler's got a case of the dreaded laquer peel, so that's gone in today for a respray!

Almost forgot, i had some issues with the divertor valve and inlet manifold runner flap motor last September, so decided to invest in a Runner Flap Delete kit, and a DV+. The RFD doesn't appear to have any performance advantage but has made the exhaust burble and pop a bit more.

I've never had it on a rolling road, but somewhere between 240 & 255 BHP.

Finally got my wheels referbished and the winters off! It also now sits on new OEM dampers and Eibach -20mm springs, along with 20mm H&R spacers on the rear, IMO just how it should have been from the factory.

I think the water in the spark plugs is a Seat Leon issue, never heard of any Octavias with the problem. I've got an Audi TTS cover on mine which I guess would solve the problem. Or you can modify the original cover to fit around the induction kit.

Yeah the map's really smooth and very similar in its delivery to stock. My boost plot was done in 3rd. 4th to the redline is too fast for my preferred 'test road'. I believe standard boost pressure peaks at around 11 PSI. This'll vary from car to car especially as even the newest TFSI's are 9 years old now!

Here's a log of my Shark stage 1, it peaks at about 19.5 PSI, then progressively drops until it's producing around 11 PSI at the redline

vRS hunting, couple of quick questions
Mr G 76 replied to CookieMonster87's topic in Skoda Octavia Mk II (2004 - 2013)
The spec was fixed on the Blackline ( as it was on the Ltd edition Pfl) no options could be added.
