New skoda owner - only one key.

Featured Replies

Hello,

Newbie here

My student daughter beacame the owner of a 1.4 2002 Fabia today. Unfortunately it has only one key ( with a separate remote fob) and the key won't unlock / lock the drivers door ( makes a noise but won't lock) but will lock the passenger door and will work if using the remote fob. I need to get a spare key sorted but don't want to spend a fortune ( I managed to lose the only key I had for a car a few years ago and it cost me an absolute fortune via the dealer to get a replacement and have it coded  ).

Anyone any ideas (I'm S.Wales based and not very technical although have a brother who is) ? Likewise with the drivers door lock ? Anything else I ( she ) needs to be aware of ?

Many thanks,

Dragonlady
