Can sat nav be fitted easily?

Featured Replies

Hi guys I am new to the forum and have today bought a 2010 vrs estate. I was wondering if it is possible to fit the satnav unit or is it a real pain? What will I need to change i.e wiring etc? Thank you

should be relatively plug and play maybe a bit of coding for voice dialing of gsm etc

You need to choose which one columbus or amundsen and then the hardest part

Getting the wallet out ......ouch !

You didn't buy it from Truscotts in Launceston by any chance? Cos I was on my way to buy that tomorrow ! Lol

Amundsen + is a great unit; get the right one and you can have nav, DAB and Bluetooth all in one with the right antennas and coding. Integrates brilliantly into the Maxidot trip computer display (dot matrix version not the more basic one that comes as standard....well on manual cars anyway). The columbus is technically "better" but it doesnt offer this level of functionality out of the box.

Bolero to Columbus swap is very simple, lots of info on here if you search. You'll need to plug in a gps aerial and change the dash surround but all very straight forward.

Columbus is the only one you should be looking at ;)
