The amundsen in my VRS? It doesn't say it's aplis or anything omega the front of it, what's the difference?

Yes, but it will only give you voice control. Voice Control is only on units that have a higher firmware than 2760

yes but you will also need to check the side sticker to see if it has the phone function builtin & it would need to be enabled by vcds

I've swapped the Bolero for a Columbus but not got voice control.
