is leaking mate and had a problem while i was on the motorway and the clutch was sticking half way down and wouldnt return and has me worried so i want to sort it out asap as have a journey to the 02 arena soon aswell as blackpool and dont wanna lose my clutch i was told its probably the slave cylinder and maybe the release bearing

does anyone no if that sounds about right for my problem or anyone had any similar experiences

try GSF Carparts mate i work there get ya 10 percent off

FTE really good dude had mine for 2 years and luk before it

yeah luk from gsf are good i worked at leeds gsf sold plenty luk items :)

I changed mine as I thought it was leaking (similar issues), but it turned out the it was the rigid hydraulic pipe which was leaking where it connected into the slave cylinder.

When mine used to get stuck down, I would stick my foot under the clutch pedal and encourage it to come back up (it didn't get stuck for every gear change, just every now and then)

yeah that is exactly like mine just every now and again is worse i stuck in motorway traffic though so u think it may be worth having a look at the rigid hydraulic pipe first as it may not bethe slave cylinder itself can i ask mate once u solved the leak did the issues of not returning with the clutch get solved or did u have to do something else to fix that issue

(1) To cure the leak I replaced the slave and then the rigid pipe. iirc it was split at the end where it sort of flairs out (I can't think of the proper term)

(2) Sticky clutch was brought on after the garage I bought the car changed the clutched. I believe that they replaced the master cylinder to cure it (not 100% sure, as that was all done as part of the buying-the-car-deal).

The leaking issue came to light when the GF drove the car and sat at every junction/traffic light with her foot on the clutch and eventually the fluid level dropped (along with me spotted a large wet patch on the engine undertray when I was checking the tracking.
