Air Con

Featured Replies

Hello,

The air con on my 3 year old fabia has stopped working  It made a some funny noises then basically stopped blowing cold air.

I'm guessing it needs recharging ?. How long should the system mormally stay charged ?.

Any idea how much it will cost me and can my dealer do it or do I need to go to an air con specialist ?.

I'd go for a specialist, possibly a tuner :)

Will cost 50-60 quid to get it regassed, but I'd take it to your dealer and get it on their diag rig as it may just be a case of the evaporator temp sensor packing up (mine did it 2 months out of warranty). It's a 30 quid sensor, but requires the dash to be taken out to fit it, so labour is pretty high, but you might find a friendly Briskodian can help you out :D

Dash doesnt need to come out to do the sensor, 20 minute job max.

Let us know when you find out :D
