Scratchy Handbrake

If, like mine, your handbrake lever trim always 'scratches' during operation (every Superb I've ever tried does), a very generous application of Mister Sheen furniture polish to the edges of the exposed plastic panel (that moves with the handbrake), goes a long way in helping.

After spraying loads on, operate the handbrake to work it in to the edges, then mop off the excess.

Make sure you like the fragrance that goes with the polish, because you'll be smelling it for a while.

Hopefully the silicones don't degrade the plastic.

In the event of hardship, Wilkinson furniture polish will do just as well.
