Loose connection? Seat Beat light on / bonging

Featured Replies

Every now & then on long journeys if I re-adjust myself int he seat it will set off the seatbelt warning light. It can take a few seconds/minutes of yanking it to make it stop.

Could it be a loose connection somewhere? Anyone ever heard of this before? Makes me suicidal after 3-4 minutes of ranting tugging to make it stop!

Sounds like the micro switch in your conector is on its way out. Think thats a full new conector dont think the microswith is removable.

Thanks mate, where is it located? Is it easily accessible?

Its inside the seat belt conector down side of seat. But im not sure if its easaly disasabled. If at all for safety reasons.

Turn off the warning with VCDS would my fix.

just unplug the connector under the seat, its a normally closed connection iirc, so unplugging will set it open i.e. belt plugged in constantly
