Hi All

I currently have a mk2 octavia with the Audiance head unit and it dose not preload the mp3 files for seamless play

eg if playing a live concert recording where no pause between tracks is set the Audiance stops them loads next track then continues

Anybody knows id this is the same for the Amundsen?

the only way i could combat this in the mk2 was to use a program to join all the live tracks together in to one big file. which then ment i could not skip to the next track or restart the one playing

IIRC there's a 2 second 'gap' that's common to all mp3's. This can of course be removed but I wouldn't have thought any of the Skoda hardware would, by default, treat them any differently.

the same tracks files play with out the brake on other players

Only if they're badly ripped in the first place.

Not got the car yet so will have to see how the tracks play.

But another question downloaded the manual and it says

"Selected audio source/display of cover art provided that this exists in the

file or folder being used"

is this a separate image file in the album folder or can it read this off the ID3 tags?

any one know ? just got a fair size SD card and loading it up but would like to know if to add cover art or not

I think cover art can be embedded in the MP3 file. Quite a few of mine seem to have embedded pictures.

I know that they can be embedded in the id3 but can the Amundsen display that image or do i need to have a separate image file for the album ?
