ABS/ Traction warning lights

Featured Replies

Hi everyone, More warning lights appeared on the dash today, Travelled about 3 miles then the abs and traction light came on, Pulled over for Diesel, Drove off again only abs light on then went out, THEN about 1/2 a mile later both lights came back on :wonder: ... Lights come on, switch ignition off, abs light on then goes off, then both lights come back on!!! Anyone know what could be wrong with this bloody car this time? :@

ABS sensor maybe which will probably mean a rusty sensor ring in a hub.

Seems quite common. I've just had to do it on mine. You'll need to get the car scanned to find out exactly where the problem is.

Just a little update on this guys,, Car went in yesterday, and they reckon it's a broken ABS sensor/ ring, So another job to be done, Under warranty

You'll get a whole new hub out of it so one less old bearing to worry about

That bearing was only replaced last week, They think that's why the sensor is damaged, Some careless mechanic :wonder:

hi i had my near side wishbone replaced and since it was done the abs warning light is coming on then sometimes goes off. Can someone please advise me what the problem could be thanks.
