Vibration on cold start - vRS Fabia

Featured Replies

Hi all,

Has anyone with a fabia vRS MK2 experienced any form of vibration on a cold start irrespective of the weather conditions?

My car is a 2010 (registered with an 11 plate), its only done 5K as it was a show room car (s2000)... My symptoms are as follows :

- Put the key in swtich on..

- Wait for the MFD to display and then for the speedo and rev counter to do their (stuff)..

- I then turn the engine over.

- After about 3 seconds or so, I feel a vibration, it lasts for about 4 seconds, then stops for 2 seconds and then appears again for 4 or so seconds and then thats it..

There is no unusal engine noise or slight increase in reving.. its a really difficult thing to explain...Its almost like a vibration/light murmer......

Cheers Arif

i get it with mine, I have been told (dealer) its the choke trying to deal with the air coming from the supercharger and turbo

I really would not worry, just drive the car, it could do with some miles on it.

I put the key in and turn it and start the car.

No looking at lights, etc.

Possibly a little smoother from cold on 98/99 ron petrol rather than on 95ron,

but if you are already on 98ron. then its just fine.

(about 4-5 miles untill the oil temp shows at 50*oC, even on warm days.)
