Milotec Rear Diffuser & Exhaust

Featured Replies

Hi all,

Currently got a Jetex exhaust on my vRS and I'm a bit OCD with the tailpipe sitting nicely in the cut out. Jetex say they designed it that way, suggested I bend the hangers.

Done that but still not much better, If I bend them much more the back box will rub on the chassis.

Do the Milotec diffusers add any depth to the cut out on the bumper, or are they flush with it (if that makes sense)?

My other option is to get a non-vrs diffuser, cover the cut out and have the tailpipe sit just below the base of the diffuser, not sure if that will look pap though...

They remove depth, by sitting over the existing cutout

Not a huge amount though

Hmmm might be just enough to look ok though!

I don't think a diffuser will give you more depth TBH as they sit quite flush to the bumper. You could attempt to fit it lower down but that would be difficult as they are shaped to fit the bumper nicely. I am OCD about the fit of tail pipe and used a tighter rubber and also cable tied mine with my piper exhaust. It is not too bad now but I was even considering altering the pipe on the box to sit higher.

I've already bent the exhaust brackets, and modified the rear exhaust mount to be as 'high' as possible, not sure what else I can do now apart from try a diffuser or go to somewhere like powerflex and pay them to have a tinker.

Will have to get photoshop on the go and see what a non-vrs diffuser looks like with the exhaust sat below it, that's easily do-able but I don't want it to look odd!

Think your tailpipe would suite the diffuser

Thats not too bad!

Dont want to go too high! Plastic melts!

Blimey that is not too bad, In that case a VRS diffuser would give you a closer fit and that exhaust style suit the diffuser

Deffo look better as a tighter fit. This is the reason I changed my exhaust on my Fabia as they sit so low down and look gash
