Help needed!

Featured Replies

06 fabia Vrs, drives perfectly but when I give it some beans the clutch pedal goes spongy when lifting up, there's no slipping of the clutch or anything like that, after 30/40secs it's normal again!

I drive to Italy next week so any advice would be much appreciated

Thanks nick

I've a feeling that this may be a weak return spring or slave cylinder.

Try riding the clutch stationary, in gear and handbrake off. If the car starts pulling forwards inside your 40s timeline, that will confirm that your slave cylinder is leaking internally and needs rebuilt or replaced.

Tried that and It doesn't do that, any more ideas?

It might be boiling the fluid?? When was last changed?

I haven't got a clue! I think that might be tomorrow's job, any clue on how easy and how to do it?

Yes, don't attempt it unless you know what you are doing.
