Nice looking piece of kit I went for the un-boxed version as I will build it and the DC Isolator into a project box.

If anyone is interested more info here (no I don't work for them) http://www.minidsp.com/

This is going to be fun, the interface seems very straightforward to use. Just need to read up on the three types of filters available on them.

Looks pretty impressive. Which version did you go for?

  • Author

The 2 in 4 out un-boxed kit Rev B, went for the advanced 2 way crossover plug-in.

So just waiting for a long weekend now to rip the car apart for the build - I have everything required now.

This looks really awesome. Is there much soldering involved in the installation process?

  • Author

No the kit comes ready built just not in a case, you can also buy a version in a case.

Sweet, I hope you are planing to post some pictures of the instalation process, looks like a real fun project!

Will do once I get a chance to start it.

Are you building a stellar front stage audio setup with fully active drive to the speakers? ...Or something else....

Focal 6W2 Mids and morel mt-22 tweeters run active.

Should be nice! :) :) :)

What amp(s)?

  • Author

Amps from my previous A3 both Alpine - PDX amps a PDX-4.150 for the active front stage and a PDX-1.1000 (overkill but the only mono sub amp they did at the time) for the sub.

Just need to pickup the MDF I need to build the amp and processor rack now - I have everything else ready to go.

Are you going to use the delay feature? If so, what are you planning to use to measure DTA delays.

  • Author

The DSP does show you the rough measurement for the delay you have set, so I will use that as a starting point and tune by ear.

Won't go too far as I'd like to keep the sound stage central so that it doesn't sound odd on the occasional times that I am sat in the passenger seat.

Will use it mainly to align the mid and tweeter.

MiniDso has arrived - tested it on the speaker output of the amp in the office - works fine.

Not a bad piece of kit for the price.
