Roof bars at Lidl

Featured Replies

Just going by the picture, they look very similar to the ones I got from Mick's Garage a while back for about £60 and which I use for carrying my bike on my Thule carrier. The fit on the roof rails is a bit odd. The clamps are only just big enough for the Yeti's roof rails (although there's about 1cm of the clamping screw showing when they're properly tightened up) and it looks like there's a sizable gap between the clamp and the inner face of the roof rail, but they actually grip very firmly (and you can use a bit of MDF or something similar as a filler if you really want to, though it's not really necessary).

If the Lidl ones are only 120cm then I think you might find that they're too short for the Yeti, though. ISTR that I had to buy 130cm bars for my previous set of Thule "feet" when I replaced the Impreza with the Yeti.
