Pd130/150 hybrid

Featured Replies

Is anybody clued up on the internals you put into a 130 or 150 to hybrid it and how much you take off the inlet? My Dads Scooby forum friend hybrids turbo's for all the lads on that forum and he said he can do it for me as long as I know the internals and all of the specs as he only Hybrids TD05's for the scooby lads. Does anybody know or know of a website where this info can be found? Cheers

might be worth giving turbo companies a call such as turbo dynamics or other tuning companies maybe darkside etc ...

Im think the stage 1 hybrids use a saab compressor wheel and the stage 2's use one off a bmw

Go onto darkside developments tells you all the intake / exhaust sizes

Thanks a lot guys will look into it.

Darlington = Harvey :(

A shame he's not around any more. He got his wife's Vectra up to around 270-280bhp. He also had contacts to machine the turbo housings to fit different wheels and get the lot balanced.

I also know a guy called Ian Walley (the mower Doctor) he works at turbo solutions but hybrids turbos in his own time too so I've got plenty of options :)

Think stage 1 is classed as a 52mm comp wheell and stage 2 is 56ish

Stage 1 is usually GT17 based, stage 2 GT20

What's the difference between the gt17 and the gt20? What benefits does either offer?

Larger compressor wheel I believe so flows more air.

So would I be right in thinking the gt20 would be better for higher rpm power, while the gt17 would be better for lower down power?

According to darkside

Stage 1 is 17/20 and stage 2 is 17/22

If I find out the all the specs and stuff I 'could' be able to get these done for a good price for forum members, will keep you posted when I find out the price.

Have you been onto the darkside developments website yet

Click engine parts then gtb turbo conversion, it lists all the sizes of the components towards the bottom of the page
