So at the moment I drive a 206 diesel, but have been looking to change to something quicker, but still practical. My wife doesn't like the Leon, too chavvy, and to be fair they are common in my town now! So Octavia Vrs it is. I have found one at a very keen price, 86,000 miles, full history, recent ger box and clutch, recent steering rack and good nick all round. It's a 2001. Going to check it out tomorrow, is there any thing I should specifically look for? I'v read lots of post about these, and it seems that if they are well looked after all should be well. The only thing is it has a big spoiler on, I don't mind it but my wife says she can't cope with that! So if we got it, there may be a red spoiler for sale soon...
