relay 219 skoda superb 2006 1.9tdi

Featured Replies

Hello all, does anyone know what this relay does. It's in a box just below the drivers side windscreen wiper, there is also a 15amp fuse next to it.reason I'm asking is I've been having intermittent starting/alternator not charging properly problems. thanks in advance.

Alternator out of coal? Had mine replaced two times over 300K miles. Once it was the pulley and pulley gear not properly driving the alternator. Just a suggestion.

IIRC, relay 219 is the radiator cooling fan relay.

Does the cooling fan stop running when you switch off the car?

If it doesn't, it may be running down the battery

Relay 219 in the engine ECU box powers the injectors, fuel pump relay primary circuit and the system power to the ECU. If it gives trouble, there is no glowplug light at switch-on. The engine will not start or run without it.

First stop for charging problems is the freewheeling pulley on the alternator - search.

rotodiesel.
