Hi Guys and Girls,

I picked up a 62 plate Octavia VRS CR DSG estate on Friday evening (purchased from an approved dealer).  I am extremely impressed with it, and think its ten times better than a basic Audi A4 I had a few years ago.

Anyhow, in my haste/ignorance (I need a car for work and they have given me a conditional allowance), I thought the car had bluetooth connectivity.  I have a phone button on the Bolero and also on the steering wheel, but it just does not connect.

Having read the forum there seems to be a way to activate the bluetooth...I assume that the bluetooth was an option even though the steering wheel has a phone button on it?

Also, I don't mind the aerial, but it is a little blackpool tower.  Can anyone point me in the direction of a shark fin?

Also, any other handy hints, tips, mods, would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks for the help in advance.

Cheers,

Gaz,

As above you can buy the module and retrofit pretty easily, or get an aftermarket unit like the fiscon. this is invisible apart from the mic and works through the bolero touch screen just like OE. V happy with mine although if you're willing to buy the parts and fit yourself the oe bt stuff works out cheaper.

Any octavia that came from the factory with bt or nav has a sharkfin so they are readily available/oe. I have one on my car retro fit. more info on my blog.
