Hi,

Has anyone got an FM modulator - a wired one? I currently have a wireless one and it does my head in - how do you find your wired one? Is it 'perfect' reception (all the time!)?

Failing that, any opinions on any of the Aux-In methods that have been mentioned previously

In the UK those things tend to be illegal, for example the iPod one. You'd need a license for one of them.

If you're gonna wire something, why bother with an FM modulator? How about the cheaper alternative, which is to just connect whatever signal you want to modulate via say aux input? Cheap, probably more reliable too and if done in a tidy way, may not look too bad at all

Some have wired up a little socket, which would seem like a great way of doing it (just opened eyes enough to see the second line of your post there ) - I have a feeling buying the cable + socket wouldnt cost ya that much

crikey - this is a blast from the past (well, a year ago anyways! ). I have one from Maplin now which I think is £20 and does the job spot on, albeit weakens the stereo signal slightly...
