Broken ape hanger

Featured Replies

First time I used the driver ape hanger there was a ping and a bit of the hinge came off and now it stays down all the time. Will need to see if a bit of blue tack will keep it up ????

Those are ape hanger handlebars - I mean the flip up handle by your head. I have always heard them referred to as ape hangers. Any idea what it would cost to replace one?

You mean your Nokia Lumia 620 Windows Phone

Drivers Ape Hanger ?   do you mean the handle above the door

Edited by harryweld

I've only ever heard of it being called a 'grab handle'

That's a lie. I've also heard it referred to as a coat hanger.

What can I say... I'm a skinflint and I can't edit that string on the free version of Board Express. No doubt if I payed for the full version I would be able to.

HaHa - not implying you're a skinflint, Martin - I mean, you have a 170 Elegance, I've got a 1.4 'S' - Just intrigued when I saw that line to find out what sort of device a 'RM-846_eu_euro1_267' was!

I actually purchased an unlocked Lumia 520 in Carphone Warehouse today - £89.95 (used our 'give to visitors' Orange PAYG phone and sim to get the upgrade price.) Really just want to get a real chance to see if Windows Phone 8 would work for me - Was a Windows Mobile user up to 6.5, then jumped ship two years ago for a Galaxy SII. It's upgrade time for that now, and I'm swithering over whther to stay with Android and get the Galaxy S4, or go down the WP8 line with something like a Lumia 820 or Samsung Ativ S. The 520 should give me an extended taster, before I make another 24 month commitment!

I took the 620 as it was free at work - don't pay any bills just contribute to my monthly calls (about £3 a month and all the data I need  :giggle: ). I do like the phone and it works well in the car (after changing the BT unit) but I do miss the quantity of apps available. My son has offered to write some for me if I am missing anything I really want so that will help. If I get the chance to upgrade to one of the more powerful HTC's I may go for it.
