Anyone fitted a Actuator to there VRS

Featured Replies

Evening all , Had my car remapped to a stage 2 last Friday and been back today as I had boost fluctuation between 3000-4000rpm . Nick at R-Tech Found out I had a weak actuator . Ive Seen forge do them but Ive heard on  uk-mkivs someone said of beach buggy actuator was better then the forge as it gives better gives better response/control .

Has anyone else fitted one ? How hard is it to do ?

Use the beach buggy one dude and not a hard job if bolts not seized on turbo

Common issue is weak actuator

Whats the beach buggy 1? My bro's 1.8t agu golf wos getting mapped and wos told that the actuator wos holding it back.

Just done a google search cheers

Is this the things forge sell ?

I had the same problem with my actuator a couple of months back and struggled to find anything other than the Forge one for sale (hadn't heard about a beach buggy one at the time).

Decided to fit the Forge one in the end as i've never had an issue with there products over the years although they can sometimes be a little pricey. Its not the easiest thing to fit as one of the bolts is in a right a**e hole of a place so turbo etc has to come off. The other thing with the Forge one is its not actually a direct fit as the holes in the plate arent quite right but very easy to sort.

All in all im glad I went for it. Boosts much better than its ever done since ve owned the car and nice and responsive. But for £130 I would expect it to be.
