I am in the process of ordering my new company car, have decided to go for the 2.0 tdi Elegance Hatch in Steel grey. Going to add the Columbus Sat Nav,I personally think its worth the £800 extra to be able to play DVD's and entertain the kids during those times when the wife says she needs to 'pop' into the shop!

 

Im totally happy with my choice but have the feeling that as soon as i order something extra is going to be added as standard, clearly i appreciate that changes could happen anytime and that I have to bite the bullet at some point but I have 28 days to make my choice so the question is this, does anyone know if there are any imminent changes to the standard equipment, or additional optional extras becoming available in the UK? I dont think I need anything extra, but want to get as much for nothing as I can,My main reason for asking is within the pinned thread "lots of new build/equipment/spec info here...." reference is made to Sunset glass becoming available on the Hatch, I would of liked this for the kids, but in my June 2013 brochure it states that its only available on the estate.I am keen to get my order in but If it is going to become available imminently then I will delay my order.   Also there is reference to a sports package option, any one know when this will become available on the hatch?

If its mainly the sunset glass you are worried about then just take the car to any reputable tinting firm - problem solved. I've had this done on my last three Skodas. I'd be very surprised if anyone knows when the sports pack may be coming but a well informed dealer may be a useful your best bet.

Can you recommend any particular national tinting companies from your experience or do you just go for a local company? If anyone in the South Yorks or North Notts area could recommend, I would be grateful.

Matt, I always have my cars fitted with Pentagon Autoglass Supaglass so I use the local dealer for it - always had good service and always reasonably priced in terms of turning up with some cash. Id go by word of mouth recomendations from friends or forums on this kind of thing.
