I know there's loads of threads on here about this but can't seem to find a definitive answer

Well I'm getting the car remapped at rtech in hinckley and was wondering weather or not to get exhaust and air filter before the remap or will it not make any/much differance. The car is completely standard at the moment and when I say exhaust I mean just having rear box removed.

Doing them before will mean you get the best out your map. With the above mods you probably wont see too many gains but every little helps

back box removal generally just makes exhausts louder rather than improving power, more benefit from removing the CAT, assuming this is a diesel then that would be MOT OK

Yeah sorry it's a mk1 diesel yeah still 2 minds of the exhaust don't want anything too load going mega meet tho sure ill get a few ideas from there

Heard decats can make the turbo over boost reducing their life that's why I not doing that is that right?? Also would I see much gain if I did decat it??
