Hi, need estimate from peoples experience how much am I looking in repairing damage on my door in Fabia vRS. The glass is in tact. Will be asking for quotes in Sheffield but if you know reliable guys/places let me know.

Try a breakers yard for the complete door replacement, you might be lucky to do a swap over?

Yeah might be cheaper to buy a second hand door. You could try pushing it back out your self as a temp job. Price wise to recon your looking £350 for repair depending if they need to re spray it.

cheers, found 2 places now in Sheffield where they will do it within £210 if I provide the door and they respray and swap over everything

 

regarding insurance, do you know if I need to use door from another vrs (is it reinforced as compared to standard vrs?) or can I use any old fabia? someone told me there is riveted alluminium plate in there

The window mechanism is either held in place with bolts, but mine is rivets, just drill the rivets out, simply enough job.

Would have thought any MK1 Fabia door will fit any MK1 Fabia model.

You might be just lucky enough to get the same colour door as your original door colour, at a breakers, without having to have a respray?
