Hi All,

decided to change left side lower control arms as they were giving me trouble and I had parts for almost a year now. The right side was done half a year by Skoda garage even though I asked them to do both sides at the time they did one saying that left one is just fine.

Now after removing lower back arm I noticed that ball joint is different then the one I have. So went googling and found that the front lower arm can have 16mm or 20mm taper on the ball joint, but mine both(front and back) with 20mm tapers. The part is lemforder and has number K1799-12 on it but I could not find anything. Can anyone provide me a correct part number?

 

The parts that I bought are Febi 19932(should be 11350) and 21196.

 

What I don't understand how did the dealer installed the same parts on the right side? I've checked the part number(just to be sure) and they are the ones that I provided? Is there some kind of converter between from 16mm to 20mm?

All sorted... my bad.
Somehow the ball joint came of with the bushing that was suppose to stay in the knuckle and this is why it looked different.
