Hi Guys

I found this forum by complete accident while looking up the problem with my new phone and it not connecting to my Columbus Navigation unit.

I have been an avid Skoda fan for about 12 years now and I am currently on my 4th Skoda.  I have previously had Octavia's, now I am 2 years into my first Superb.

I went for the Superb because of the additional leg room in the back, all my kids are over 6ft tall and they would constantly moan about the leg room in the back of the Octavia VRS that I had.  So I sold the VRS and eventually found a Jet Black 59 Superb with full white leather interior, reasonable mileage at 47K for 2 years old (obviously a fleet car of some sort) but in great condition and with full service history and loaded with all the toys.

The only complaints that I have seem to be regarding the electric seats.  Whenever my wife gets in and out of the passenger side she accidently operates the seat back setting.  Do to lady's swivelling in the chair to keep her knees together when getting out of the car and the position of the back rest control it seems unavoidable?  Anyone else experienced this problem?

The other 'moan' is there seems to be too much information being fed back to the driver.  I went through a period in the spring where every time i got in the car (so it seemed) there was some sort of warning going off, outside air temperature ice warning, tyre pressure, low washer fluid, low fuel it just seemed to be every time I made a journey there was something.  Now we are in the glorious UK summer (that arrives every 7 years or so) I have now run into the problem with the phone.

I have just bought a Sony Xperia Z with O2.  When trying to connect to t he bluetooth in the car it just says incompatible device.  So my search through the internet for a solution is about to start, I am pretty sure that it is the phone that is at fault but initial searches have revealed that my Columbus might need a firmware update?  I will continue searching,

I just thought I would write a few lines as an introduction!

Welcome.

Worth asking again in either the Superb section or the I.C.E section,

Hi and welcome aboard.
